Registration for the 2021 - 2022 Track & Field Season
The new Track & Field season begins on the 25th October, 2021 (Labour Monday) pending the impact of the Covid-19 lockdown in effect. We will post updates on the Facebook page if we do need to delay the season start date. You can register for the new season from 1 September.
Our registration fee structure is the same as last season and includes a variation that we introduced to help our families that may be impacted financially by Covid-19. This provides an option to register as a "Local Only" athlete (Option 1), which means paying only the local fees for our club. We want to encourage whole families to attend athletics and build up the sport... not only for Massey but for West Auckland and ultimately for the Auckland Centre. We want to encourage more children to get into sports for the sake of their wellbeing and also encourage parents to get involved with their children and I know personally from being involved in this sport since I was a child and now from being involved in this great club for 15 years that athletics is a great sport to bring families together.
IMPORTANT: The ‘local only’ fees option provides our athletes with more affordable fees for the season and there is no change to club night and any local club activities, i.e. Open Day, Fun night and Prizegiving. However, it does mean those athletes that choose ‘local only’ cannot attend Auckland Athletics affiliated events such as Auckland Championship events, other ‘affiliated’ club Open Days, coaching or training events run by Athletics Auckland or any other inter-club events held by Athletics Auckland or affiliated clubs... this includes Cross Country.
If you want your child to attend championship events or Cross Country you must register them via Option 2 below. This is the standard affiliated registration and something we continue to promote and once we are free from the impact of Covid-19 we fully intend to return to a fully affiliated club.
