club night
Our club night is every Monday night at Moire Park. Warm-ups for the athletes start at 5:15pm, followed by the events at 5:30pm. You can view the club night programmes here.
Athletics will continue in the rain, unless it is torrential, or unless the council have closed our fields. If a club night is rained out, the programme is carried over to the following week. If you are unsure of a cancellation, please check the Facebook page after 3:30pm. It will be a normal club night on public holidays.
CHILDREN AGED 2 - 3 YEARS OLD (at Dec 31st 2018)
We have 3 running races for 2 and 3 year olds: 30M, 60M, and 100M. These races are managed by the parents on sprint track 2 (refer to the Track and Field Map). Athletics is FREE for under 4's so there is no need to register and they do not need a uniform. Simply turn up on the club night and let them run.
CHILDREN AGED 4 - 14 YEARS OLD
Children who are 4 - 14 years old (at Dec 31st 2018) run in their age group each night, and follow a programme. All children in these age groups must be fully registered to compete on club nights. To find out more information about registration, please refer to the 'Registration' page on this website. If you have any further questions, feel free to email your enquiries to massey.athletics@gmail.com

club championships

Club Championships for the 2018 - 2019 Season will be held on Saturday in early March 2019... (date TBC) from 10:00 am. Club Champs are open to all fully registered athletes who have attended at least 5 club nights.
This year the 1500M and 800M races will be run on a club night (one prior to the Club Champs event on the Saturday and one after). This change is being made to lighten the load for those athletes that choose to run both of these middle distance events. Running both races in a single day is too much of an impact on athletes, so we are splitting from the Saturday to alleviate this impact.
To enter Club Champs, you must fill out an entry form in the weeks prior to the championships. Entry forms will be available during February at the clubrooms or online (see above). Simply download the pdf file above, print it, fill it in and either bring it to Club Night and hand to a committee member, or scan the completed form to massey.athletics@gmail.com
Closing date is will be the club night prior to the Saturday event.
Full club uniform must be worn on these day, including Age Patch. Any athlete not in full club uniform will be scratched from their events.
These are fun family days - ideal for grandparents and friends to attend as spectators. Bring a picnic or enjoy food from our BBQ, as this will be a full day of athletics.
Children may enter up to 5 events. A draft programme will be available online and at Club Night. The final version of the programme will not be available until all entries have been processed.
Prize giving of certificates will take place at the end-of-year prize giving.
