Training
The main purpose of the training is to keep children (and their parents!) physically fit over
aspect that is maintained at training to make running enjoyable.
Each training session starts with a warm-up run and is followed by some stretching. When
everyone is warmed up the real running begins. This involves running around the park, up
and down hills, and through mud puddles. The training finishes with a fun team activity or an
active game.
Training nights are held at Moire Park on Monday and Wednesday every week at 4:30pm.
The grass fields and bush tracks of Moire Park make it an ideal place to run. And when the
fields get really wet, the surrounding, quiet roads are a safe place to continue running. The
two training sessions give you the option of coming to one or both each week, as it suits your
needs.
